Zonta Hilo is partnering with Temple Children, a Hilo-based local arts and sustainability collective, to create a mural that symbolizes female resilience and empowerment. Swedish artist Ishtar Bäcklund Dakhil will design a unique public artwork that sparks reflection and builds empathy for women and girls who have experienced domestic violence in our community. This powerful mural will serve as a visual reminder that a society can only truly flourish when every member is supported, protected, uplifted, and empowered.
